Digital HD to Analogue Converter Box?

Is it possible to obtain a piece of equipment which will convert Digital HD (High Def) TV signal to Analogue?
I realise there would be a drop in quality but would like to use my VCRs (video cassette recorders) to record HDTV rather than making them completely redundant.
I already have a STB/PVR and an HDTV set and can watch analogue VCR tapes through this system.
Hoping you can provide some help.
